Leeds United will look to move back into the Championship play off places tomorrow, as they face Hull City in front of a sold out Elland Road crowd.
Leeds sit just two points behind the last play off spot in 7th place. They know a victory would guarantee a play off spot going into the Christmas period, with Aston Villa and Sheffield United going head to head in the Saturday evening kick off.
FORM
The Whites look like they have got their season back on track, with four wins in their last six matches. Leeds look like they are making Elland Road a fortress again, picking up from 7 points from their previous 3 matches at home.
On the other hand, Hull have won just once in their last 9 games, with their solitary success coming in a 3-2 home victory over Brentford. The Tigers have also won just one away game all season and that record will need to change if they are to climb up the table under new boss Nigel Adkins.
TEAM NEWS
Leeds striker Pierre Michel-Lasogga is available for selection once again after missing the last 6 Championship matches through injury. However winger Stuart Dallas and striker Caleb Ekuban remain sidelined for the next few weeks at least.
Hull winger Jarrod Bowen could start the match, he missed the sides win over Brentford two weeks ago and was a second half substitute in last weeks defeat at Cardiff. Midfielders Markus Henriksen and Kevin Stewart are also set to return to the squad but Frazier Campbell remains unavailable. (BBC Sport)
HEAD TO HEAD
This will be the sides 47th meeting since their first back in 1920. Leeds boast the better record of the two clubs, winning on 21 occasions to Hull’s 14. Their previous meeting ended in a 2-2 draw, with a late Stuart Dallas equaliser salvaging a point for the Whites.
PREDICTION
Leeds are beginning to build some momentum heading into the Christmas period, and given Hull’s torrid away form I can only see one result here.
