Slavisa Jokanovic admits Fulham were outclassed by Wolves

Fulham head coach Slavisa Jokanovic has told the Birmingham Mail that they were outclassed by Wolves in their 2-0 defeat last night.

The Cottagers always knew that a trip to Molineux was going to be a tough one as they were at the top of the Sky Bet Championship but they will have been disappointed to be beaten so soundly. The Black Country side took control of the game early on and never looked like relinquishing it as they further extended their lead at the top of the table.

Early on in the game, Wolves took the lead when Romain Saiss headed in a Barry Douglass and Leo Bonatini got his 10th of the season when another Douglass set piece dazzled the defence, allowing the Championship’s top scorer to head in. Wolves could have got plenty more and made this game a drubbing, but they failed to convert those chances.

Jokanovic after the game admitted they were second best, saying: “Today we didn’t deserve any points, and we can’t repeat this,”

“Today there aren’t so many positives for us.”

“This isn’t a new situation, we made similar mistakes, they scored two easy goals. We played around but we didn’t create serious chances and we didn’t show enough quality.”

“It’s a similar story. We are not in our best moment, not too many things are working for us. Some people still haven’t adapted themselves for this competition, and we didn’t show enough quality to be competitive.”

“I tried to find some kind of solution during the day to day because I believe I’m going to find a better option, but I didn’t find anything better this time for my team.”
