Great news for Nottingham Forest fans as Everton cannot recall promising youngster

Everton cannot recall midfielder Kieran Dowell from his loan at Championship side Nottingham Forest in January, according to the Nottingham Post.

The midfielder has impressed many in the Championship since he joined on a season-long loan from Premier League side Everton in the summer. There has been rumours that the Blues could recall him since they are struggling in the top flight at the moment, however this is not possible.

Dowell, 20, has played twice for Everton’s first team in the past. Since joining Forest, he has played fourteen games and scored five. He has also represented England at U16, U17, U18, U19, U20 and U21 level. He made the headlines over the weekend after he bagged a stunning hat-rick against Hull City at the KCOM Stadium where Forest won 3-2.

The news that he cannot be recalled is a huge boost for Nottingham Forest. They are currently one point of the Play-Offs and are playing well under Mark Warbuton. Their fans will be hoping now that they can push on and challenge at the top of the table for the rest of the season. The club at expecting to bring in some new players in January as well to bolster their ranks.

Forest were nearly relegated to League One last season and needed to beat Ipswich on the final day to remain in the league, which they did. This season they have looked much better and with Kieran Dowell in their side, producing stunning performances and sublime goals, anything can happen for them for the rest of the season.
