Daniel Farke happy to see the fight in his Norwich City team

Norwich City head coach Daniel Farke has told the club website that he was happy to see the fight his team had as they earned a 1-1 draw with Hull City.

While Hull had not got off to the best start to this season, it was always going to be a tough match for Norwich as they tackled a team that were expecting to challenge for promotion this season. And so it proved to be as they were forced to fight to the final minute to get a point out of the match.

Hull took the lead in the first half when Nouha Dicko got his first goal for the club after finishing past Angus Gunn. However it would be advantage Norwich when David Meyler was sent off for a second bookable offence. But they made their fans wait for them to capitalise on having the extra man with Nelson Oliveira only getting the vital equaliser in the 96th minute.

And while Farke believes they deserved the win, he was happy to see how well his team fought to get the equaliser. He said: “I was so happy for the lads to score in such a difficult game,”

“We missed so many chances and conceded a ridiculous goal and had to fight. I was really happy we were able to score, and we totally deserved at least a point.”

“We had 75% of possession, we won 65% of our duels and we had 25 shots on the goal. But we couldn’t score, and it was great to see our lads fight and show a great attitude to keep going, and it’s really important to go unbeaten.”
