Former Champions League winner set for Oldham Athletic job?

According to the Daily Mail, Clarence Seedorf may be offered the vacant Oldham job after having an interview with The Latics. Oldham currently sit 23rd in League One.

The League One side sacked John Sheridan for the third time on Monday. The club are now looking for a new manager, and Seedorf could be offered the job. It would be his first managerial quest in England, but he has previously managed AC Milan and Chinese side Shenzhen.

Seedorf was in Manchester last night, and he was spotted having a tour of the ground by the Chairman. According to the Mirror, the deal is reliant on a new investment at the club.

Other favourites for the job are Alan Stubbs, Darren Ferguson, Egil Olsen and Pablo Correa.

Oldham are looking for a manager who will take them out of League One. This is the Latics 21st season in the division, and they’re currently sitting in the relegation zone.

Seedorf’s longest managerial reign lasted just under six months at Milan before he was sacked.

Seedorf had a long career as a player which stretched just over twenty years. He has experience in the game, and he has won a number of major honours such as La Liga, Champions League and Serie A.
