Leeds United: Support increases with huge season-ticket sales

Leeds United have much to celebrate according to the Yorkshire Evening Post as the club have announced a 40 per cent rise in season-tickets since last season with the club selling a figure of over 20,000 season-tickets.

Last season, Leeds United managed to sell around 14,000 season tickets but after a highly successful season in the Championship last season, they have managed to sell over 20,000 season tickets this season.

Last season, there was a huge boost in the sale of season tickets as the club offered an incredible deal in which fans would qualify for a 50% refund should the Whites not make the play-offs in which they did fail to do so, ultimately missing out at the hands of Fulham.

With Leeds United starting to get things right on the pitch last season, that seems to have continued into this season with new manager Thomas Christiansen boasting an unbeaten start to his time as Leeds United’s boss.

Whilst success is evident on the pitch, things appear to be the most settled that they have been in years off the pitch under the guidance of Andrea Radrizzani who purchased Elland Road back, much to the delight of fans.

During Leeds United’s two league home games this season against Preston and Fulham, the Whites have an average attendance of 30,899 and the fact that season tickets have now surpassed the 20,000 mark can only be positive news for Leeds United.

With the club looking to make a return to the Premier League, they will need all the support they can get at home and with the uptake of season tickets increasing, things seem to be heading in the right direction for Leeds United.
