What do Leeds United fans make of Stuart Dallas

Leeds United have had a real up and down summer, following a season that brought real hope and optimism to the Elland Road faithful for the first time in over a decade last campaign.

The Yorkshire club were in the top six for the majority of the season, but capitulated in the last five games and ultimately cost themselves a play-off place.

Following the disappointment, however, the fans were still optimistic that this season they could go one better, but were dealt another blow when former manager Garry Monk left for fellow Championship side Middlesbrough.

After the departure of the former Swansea man, new owner Andrea Radrizzani had to act quick, and brought in former Barcelona striker Thomas Christiansen from Cypriot side APOEL, and he has hit the ground running, and Leeds have enjoyed an impressive start to the new campaign despite all the set backs under his management.

However, perhaps unsurprisingly, the club are set to face yet another setback, with star man Chris Wood set to leave for Premier League side Burnley.

Despite the prospect of losing the Championship’s top scorer from last campaign however, the Leeds fans can be extremely happy with how their club has started the season, and how they coped without the Kiwi in Saturday evenings game against Sunderland, where they came out 2-0 winners, and can also take real positives from Stuart Dallas’ performance.

The Northern Irish international winger impressed during pre season, but was fairly out of favour at the start of the campaign, starting the majority of games on the bench.

However with the injury to Caleb Ekuban, he was substituted on just after the hour mark, and made a real impression, netting the second in the 2-0 win, and this is how fans reacted.

Many fans responded humorously to the accusation that the club are a one man team.

Others suggested they believe Dallas could be involved a lot throughout the duration of the season and commented on his eye for goal.

Although the fans will feel down about the situation with Wood, it is likely that the money they get will be invested back, with a new frontman highly likely to be brought in, and the likes of Dallas, Saiz, and Alioski will look to help on the goals front too as Leeds look to gain promotion.
