Lincoln City considering loan move for Millwall defender

Lincoln City are considering making a move to sign Millwall’s Noah Chesmain according to a report from London News Online.

The Imps are finally back in the EFL after winning the Vanarama National last year, ending their six-year exile from the Football League. But after a historic year where they reached the FA Cup quarter-final as well as the semi-finals of the FA Trophy, Lincoln want to carry on their momentum now that they are in Sky Bet League Two. This means signing quality players and they are now considering making a move for this Millwall defender.

They have been taking a close look at Chesmain in recent weeks and could make a move for him in the next few weeks. The 19-year-old defender is highly rated at Millwall but considering he’s barely been in the first team yet, he is unlikely to break into it now that they have been promoted to the Sky Bet Championship and will be battling to stay in that division.

This means a loan move might be the right idea for Chesmain and Lincoln could be his new home should they follow through and make a bid for him. Even though Chesmain is young and doesn’t have that much experience, his longest run in competitive football came during a loan spell with Welling United, he does have a lot of talent that could help the Imps as they look to establish themselves in League Two. But the club are still mulling over this deal and may not go for it yet.
