Hull City set to announce Chelsea youngster as first summer signing

Hull City are set to announce their first signing this summer, following their relegation to the Sky Bet Championship last campaign, as Chelsea starlet Ola Aina looks set to move to The KCOM Stadium on a year-long loan deal in the coming days according to the Daily Mail.

The 20-year-old is an academy prospect from the Premier League giants, but, like so many other Chelsea youngsters, Aina has struggled to make little, or any impact at Stamford Bridge, and will be looking to move elsewhere to kick-start his career.

The English-born, who plays at right back, has played for England 37 times at youth level, but now has Nigerian nationality following a change in 2017.

He has played just twice for the Chelsea senior team and will be relishing an opportunity to play regular first-team football if the deal does come to fruition.

Aina would be a very shrewd addition for Hull, as they desperately try to search for right-backs for their upcoming season, with Ahmed Elmohamady looking set to reunite with former manager Steve Bruce at Sky Bet Championship rivals Aston Villa, and other right-back Moses Odubajo out with injury for at least the first 3 months of the new season.

Hull’s new manager Leon Slutsky has said he wants five or six new additions before Hull try to bounce straight back to the Premier League, and the Russian will be hoping to get the ball rolling with the Chelsea youngster, who will be hoping to make his move in time for Hull’s warm weather training camp in Portugal tomorrow.
