Premier League side Burnley are set to offer Nottingham Forest a swap deal for star striker Britt Assombalonga, according to Sunday’s print edition of The Sun.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche is currently on the hunt for a striker with rumours linking Andre Gray with a move away from the club this summer. He seems to have identified Nottingham Forest striker Britt Assombalonga as his first choice, with the Clarets having a £8 million bid turned down last week. It is understood that it will take a bid of £15 million to secure his services.
However, it looks like Burnley are set to return with a swap bid for Assombalonga instead of raising their bid. Dyche is set to offer £8 million again plus £2 million-rated right-back Tendayi Darikwa in an effort to convince Forest to let go of their top-scorer this summer.
Darikwa, 25, is primarily a right-back but can also play as a winger if required. He signed for Burnley back in July 2015 after having made 150 appearances for Chesterfield in League One and League Two. Competing for the right-back spot, Darikwa made 24 appearances in all competitions in 2015-16 as Burnley won promotion to the Premier League.
However, last season, the defender was hardly in Dyche’s first-team plans and failed to make a single Premier League appearance. He played only five games for the first team all season, all of them in cup competitions.

However, Forest would have a new player plus enough money to sign a replacement striker, so Burnley’s newest offer may tempt them into selling.
