Hull City watching Cardiff City striker closely as they plot move

Hull City are taking a close look at Cardiff City’s Kenneth Zohore according to a report from the Hull Daily Mail.

The 23-year-old striker initially signed for the Bluebirds on loan before making the deal permanent later on that very same year. To begin with, Zohore was like many foreign imports and struggled to adapt to the style of football in the Sky Bet Championship. But he soon found his footing in this league and hit fantastic form, most notable a patch when he scored ten goals in eleven appearances. He would then earn himself a new three-year contract as well as winning the Young Player of the Season award.

But Cardiff could end up losing Zohore this summer as Hull are interested in signing him. The Tigers have a clear need for a new striker following their relegation from the Premier League. While they have Abel Hernandez, who was one of the club’s performers the last time they were in this league, they fear they might lose him now that there are only 12 months left on his contract. The only other options they have are Adama Diomande, Jarrod Bowen and Greg Luer and most would agree they need another option.

And so Hull have looked to Zohore after his great form last season and the potential he has to be even better. It will be a tough deal to pull off as Cardiff will want a lot of money for him, with their head coach Neil Warnock revealing he isn’t under any pressure to sell anyone this summer.
