Charlton Athletic lose potential star to Manchester United

Charlton Athletic have lost a potential star of the future after Largie Ramazani signed with Manchester United according to a report from the Manchester Evening News.

The 16-year-old striker had a long road to Charlton, but it seemed to be one that would be worth it for both the player and the Addicks. He was born in the African country of Burundi but would end up being spotted by Belgian giants Anderlecht and signed for their academy. But he would end up switching to Charlton and it was hoped he could be their next breakout star. The South London club have done well producing young talent recently, most notably Ademola Lookman, and Ramazani could have been their next one.

But while Ramazani may still be a star, it won’t be with Charlton as he has left the club and signed for Manchester United. This was part of a group of signings that the Jose Mourinho managed team made as they look to get the best youngsters in the country in their team, with Northern Ireland youth international Ethan Galbraith and PSG starlet Aliou Traore also believed to have penned deals with the Red Devils.

And Ramazani is going to be at Old Trafford for the long haul as going on a tweet sent out by Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur, the young striker has signed a four-year contract with Manchester United. The tweet also includes a low quality image of Ramazani holding a Manchester United shirt, truly confirming he is now part of their club.
