Premier League club in talks over deal for Fulham star

Premier League new boys Huddersfield Town are in talks over a deal for Fulham’s highly-rated left back Scott Malone, according to Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas.

David Wagner’s side beat Jaap Stam’s Reading 4-3 on penalties in the Play-Off Final in May to reach the Premier League, and have since gone about business attracting a host of players in a bid to stave off the drop this season despite all the odds being stacked against them once more.

After breaking the club’s transfer record once to sign Porto striker Laurent Depoitre, they broke it again shortly after by completing an 8 figure deal to bring back Australian midfielder Aaron Mooy, who was the standout performer last season on loan from Manchester City, making him the most expensive Aussie of all time.

Chelsea loanees Izzy Brown and Kasey Palmer are both expected to re-sign for the club, the former on a permanent basis in an £8 million move, with Palmer set to return on loan. Additionally, The Terriers are set to poach Reading’s Danny Williams on a free transfer, with a medical set for this week.

Now the club are looking for competition for Chris Lowe in Fulham’s Scott Malone, who is set to leave Craven Cottage this summer, with The Whites willing to let him go to make room for teenage sensation Ryan Sessegnon.

Talks have reportedly already begun between the two clubs, but no agreement has been made as of yet, although the two clubs are expected to come to a fee sometime this week.
