There is a change afoot at Elland Road, a change so palpable that it can be almost tasted or carved up.
The ground is bought back for the club by owner Andrea Radrizzani, signings have been made and more are said on their way. There really is a shift of seismic proportions in the connections between the club and its fanbase.
One example of this is the better footing engagement-wise that seems to exist between Leeds United as one entity, and their fans as another. There really has been a coming together between the two since the departure of Massimo Cellino and the taking over the club by Andrea Radrizzani.
Part of this change has been the growing presence of supporters group Leeds United Supporters’ Trust, a group whose membership continues to tick over and increase in numbers. Their motto of ‘One voice: Your voice’ really does seem to be the buzzword around Elland Road at the moment.
Here is their next venture, a collaboration with Leeds-based collective East Street Arts to create a Leeds-themed mural on the approach to Elland Road

Whilst the actual design hasn’t been decided on, the location is both iconic and symbolic, with the shepherding in of a new Leeds United era only highlighting this. The wall in question has seen ad hoc scrawlings by fans annoyed at previous regimes, this offering will be an altogether more professional affair.
The idea though, the idea has definitely gotten Leeds United fans talking, many taking to Twitter to comment on the original post – a sample of whom you can find below.

I can remember when the idea was suggested with design. Great news it is going ahead!

Should of done that on the building at the train station instead of that monstrosity that’s been painted on there

Leeds United fans will have a say on the final design to be implemented there, and with the positivity that is coursing through Whites fans’ veins at the moment – something like this proposition can only add to the general good feeling around Elland Road.
