Robertson, Odds on Liverpool signing Hull City defender tumble and they may soon become favourites again

Odds on Liverpool signing Hull City defender tumble and they may soon become favourites again

Liverpool have had their odds on signing Hull City’s Andy Robertson cut by Sky Bet and they may soon become the favourites to capture him.

Reports that Liverpool were going to sign Robertson started at the beginning of June and seemingly due to a story about the Scotsman favouring a move to Liverpool, the last few days has seen the odds on them signing the Hull City defender fall and they are now the 5/2 2nd favourites to sign him. Burnley, who were once behind Liverpool in the odds but dropped below them in the last few weeks, remain the favourites and are priced at 13/8, while recently linked Watford are 3rd favourites and are priced at 7/2. You can also get odds of Newcastle United and Derby County to sign Robertson, with them being priced at 5/1 and 20/1 respectively.

But while Liverpool are just the second favourites to sign Robertson right now, they may soon become the favourites. Burnley are currently involved in a deal to sign Charlie Taylor from Hull’s Yorkshire rivals Leeds United and if they can complete that deal, they would have no need to go in for Robertson. It would then be expected that they would no longer be priced by the bookies and that Liverpool would become the favourites to sign him.

This would be a fantastic move for Robertson as it would see him switch from potentially playing in the Sky Bet Championship for Hull this season to playing in the Champions League for Liverpool. However until Burnley complete the signing for Taylor, they remain the favourites to sign Robertson and may go back in for him should the former deal fall through.
