Leeds United target rumoured to be heading for Elland Road medical tomorrow

The list of players that Leeds United have been linked with seems to grow day by day, but it appears that they are getting closer to yet another signing.

Reports coming out of several Spanish media publications (via LeedsAllOver) suggest that Spanish striker Samu Saiz is set to travel to England tomorrow, and undergo a medical ahead of his proposed move to Leeds United.

Saiz currently plays in the second tier of Spanish football representing Huesca, however he has previously been on the books of some of the biggest clubs in world football.

He came through the youth set-up at Real Madrid, and signed his first professional contract at the Galacticos in 2008.

Disappointingly for Saiz, he failed to make any real impression at Real, and instead featured for their B and C teams.

After failed to make the cut in the Spanish capital, he was sold to Melilla.

He spent just one year at Melilla, and after an impressive debut season, was signed by first division side Getafe.

Again, Saiz’s appearances were limited to the B team, except for one first team appearance in late 2012.

His journey around Spain continued in 2013, when he moved to Almeria, again only to feature for their second team.

At Almeria, he caught the eye of Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, who decided to sign him in 2014.

Yep, you guessed it, he did not make a single appearance for the first team!!

Following a successful loan spell at Huesca, he joined them permanently in 2016, and that is where he remains today.

He enjoyed a promising season last year, scoring 13 goals.
