Blackburn Rovers: 5 fixtures to look out for this season

Blackburn Rovers v Blackpool (10/03/2018)

A big home game coming towards the end of the season will be in March when Blackpool visit Ewood Park.  The two clubs last met only last season, when Blackburn won 2-0 in an FA Cup game at Ewood Park, however that is not what makes this a big game in Rovers’ season.

The game will see former Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer return to Ewood Park for the first time in a league match since he left the club in November 2015.  Many Rovers fans were big supporters of Gary Bowyer and wished him a lot of success last season when Blackpool made the play-offs.  Before his sacking in 2015, Bowyer had been at Blackburn since 2004 and is well-respected in the North West.

Blackpool had a good year under Bowyer last season, finishing in seventh place in League Two but winning promotion back to League One via the play-offs.

Blackburn Rovers end their 2017/18 season at home to Oxford United on 05/05/2018.  The game will kick-off at 17:30 as is always the case with the final League One game of the season.
