Bruno Ribeiro (Port Vale)
This guy is still an unknown, never mind an unknown when he came to Port Vale. He’d managed a whole tonne of teams I could never spell without checking it multiple times and came to Vale Park claiming he was friends with Jose Mourinho, something that seems like a pre-requisite for any Portuguese manager heading to England. After a bright start in the league which seemed to suggest the experiment was working, it soon went off the rails and he resigned on Boxing Day. Apparently their chairman Norman Smurthwaite was not very pleased as he had been given glowing references of Ribeiro by the likes of Mourinho, Carvalhal (Unknowns got to help unknowns) and former Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka, but none ended up loaning them players like he wanted. Ah well.
