Serie A manager thrown into running for Leeds United job

The search continues for Leeds United, as they aim to try and find a replacement for Garry Monk.

Monk left Elland Road on May 25, after failing to agree a new deal with club owner Andrea Radrizzani.

However, less than three weeks later, the former Swansea City boss is back in a job after taking over at the Riverside.

It means that Monk will be facing a return to Elland Road next season when Leeds go head to head with Middlesbrough in the Sky Bet Championship.

But who will be in the Leeds United dugout when the two sides meet?

Everyday it seems that there is a new name linked with the job, and again, today is no different.

Perhaps an unknown name to the majority of you, but a well known figure over in Italy, Sinisa Mihajlovic is the current manager of Serie A side Torino.

Mihajlovic should already be popular with the Leeds United fans, after all he did send Pontus Jansson on loan to Elland Road for the whole of the last season.

And the Serbian boss has been thrown into the running for the Leeds job, given odds of 18/1 by Sky Bet.

His management career has seen him mainly settle down in Italy, although he did enjoy a spell as manager of the Serbia national team between the years 2012-2013.

Apart from that, he has always been in the top flight in Italy, managing clubs such as Bologna, Catania, Sampdoria and Fiorentina.

Mihajlovic has shown that he can manage the big clubs, having spent a year with footballing giants AC Milan.
