Wolves have made a £2.6m offer to sign Rio Ave’s Filip Krovinovic according to a report from Portuguese publication A Bola via HITC Sport.
Over the last few weeks Wolves have been through some turmoil after the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo caused there to be accusations that the club’s transfers were being controlled by super agent Jorge Mendes, though that was flatly denied by the club. However despite all of that press attention, the club are looking forward to signing new players which would help the Black County side in their ambitions of getting promoted to the Premier League.
And a player they are very interested in and have already made an offer for is Filip Krovinovic, a 21-year-old midfielder who currently plays for Rio Ave in Portugal. Last year was an amazing year for the playmaker as he truly broke out and marked himself as one of the best young players in the country. He was a creative force in their midfield and ended the season with five goals and three assists.
And while Benfica are lining up a move to sign Krovinovic for themselves, Wolves have made an offer worth £2.6m for him and will be looking to add the talented playmaker to their squad. It will be tough to beat one of Portugal’s biggest clubs to his signature but they are hoping that their head coach Espirito Santo’s good reputation with Rio Ave, he managed them earlier in the decade, will help them to get the deal over the line.
