Hull City international defender reveals when he’ll decide his future

Speaking to the Hull Daily Mail, Hull City defender Andrew Robertson has revealed that he won’t decide if he is staying at the club until ‘well into the summer’. The 23-year-old is currently preparing to play for Scotland, who face arch rivals England at Hampden Park next week.

The international full back was the subject of a big bid from Premier League side Burnley on the most recent transfer deadline day. Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, is said to be a keen admirer of the former Dundee United man too. With them being able to offer Champions League football, Robertson may find them, or any top flight side, hard to reject. The Mirror believes that Everton are also monitoring the situation as well.

Whilst he has previously hinted that he could be leaving the KCOM Stadium, he did state that he decision will be made for a while yet,

“The only thing I can really say is that all the players face uncertainty. There will be people moving on but, for now, I’m just focused on this game in front of us. I do that because it’s so massive for the country.

“All I can do is play as well as I can on the day, and I’ll worry about my future after that. I’ll sit down after this game with the people I need to talk to, and decide if it’s right for me to stay at Hull, of if I should look to move on. That’s not something I’m going to worry about until well into the summer.”

Since joining the Tigers in 2014 for just under £3million, Robertson has further increased his reputation in the game. Once relegation was confirmed, many felt he was one that wouldn’t drop down and would be staying in the Premier League. It looks as though that might be the case.
