Top 20 Managers of the EFL – 9th: Slavisa Jokanovic (Fulham)

Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic has been voted by you as the 9th best manager in the EFL.

Over the last month, we have been gathering votes from you to find the best managers and players in the EFL. And after counting the votes, we have discovered you think that Jokanovic is the 9th best manager in the Football League.
Slavisa Jokanovic has had one of the diverse managerial careers a man can have, but he seems to have finally found a home at Sky Bet Championship side Fulham. His managerial career began in his native Serbia, before stints in Thailand, Bulgaria and Israel, to name a few. He joined the West London club in December 2015, when the club were firmly in a relegation battle. He helped them survive relegation, and then set a target for a top six finish for his first full season in charge.
And that’s exactly what he did. Fulham finished sixth in the Sky Bet Championship this year, earning them a place in the Play-Offs, and the potential to push on and return to the Premier League. Jokanovic has done a wonderful job in turning Fulham around, and it seems like they really are now a club on the up. One of the admirable things about the Serbian is his willingness to give youth a go, and it has certainly paid off. The likes of 16-year-old Ryan Sessegnon has been crucial to Fulham’s success this season.
Jokanovic will not settle for sixth place though. The Cottagers will face Reading over two legs in the Play-Off Semi Final, with the winner going to Wembley to face either Sheffield Wednesday or Huddersfield Town for a place in the Premier League.
