Top 20 Managers of the EFL – 7th: Uwe Rosler (Fleetwood Town)

Fleetwood Town manager Uwe Rosler has been voted by you as the 7th best manager in the EFL.

Over the last month, we have been gathering votes from you to find the best managers and players in the EFL. And after counting the votes, we have discovered you think that Rosler is the 7th best manager in the Football League.
The rise of Fleetwood Town through the divisions is a remarkable one, and Uwe Rosler has written his own chapter in their history this season. He has led to Cod Army to their highest finish, fourth place in Sky Bet League One. Unfortunately for Fleetwood Town fans, the Play-Offs were one step too far, and they were eliminated in the Semi-Finals, losing 1-0 on aggregate to Bradford City. Nonetheless, Rosler and his team can hold their heads up high after a fantastic season, which has seen them defy all expectations. Their previous campaign was spent in a relegation battle, which was taken to the final day, so to finish fourth this season shows the work that Rosler has put in on the Fylde Coast. Rosler has earned so much admiration in the English Football League, that he’s even been linked with a move to Norwich City to fill their vacant manager’s role.
Rosler has managed a number of clubs in the EFL. He’s been in charge at Brentford, Wigan Athletic and Leeds United, enjoying reasonably successful spells with them all.
It remains to be seen whether Uwe Rosler will remain at Fleetwood Town next season, but whatever happens, the club will always remember what he did in helping them enjoy their most successful season in their history.
