Leeds United: Whites set to appoint another high profile board member

It was announced by the club last week that former Real Madrid board member Ivan Bravo had joined Andrea Radrizzani and Leeds United after months of speculation; and now it is reported that a second highly reputable member could be entering the building in the not too distant future.

The Standard are reporting that current West Ham and former Arsenal Managing Director Angus Kinnear will leave his position at the Hammers at the end of the season to take up the Chief Executive role at Elland Road.

Ben Mansford currently occupies the CEO role at Leeds, however is expected to leave along with Massimo Cellino in the coming months as Italian Andrea Radrizzani begins to form his new army of backroom staff and acquire 100% of Leeds United.

Kinnear joined West Ham from Arsenal in 2013 and was instrumental in both clubs’ recent rebranding; as well as playing vital roles in helping both London clubs relocate to their current state of the art stadiums. He spent 10 years at the Gunners, and prior to working in football Kinnear worked for Coca-cola- helping them to set up global sporting properties.

Bravo and Kinnear bost vast experience and have worked at two of the world’s footballing giants, so it is seen as a huge coup to attract two board members of such a high calibre to work closely alongside majority stake holder Andrea Radrizzani.

The duo will provide valuable knowledge to the board, and one of their first decisions may be whether to offer current manager Garry Monk a new contract or not- and with Leeds fans managing to get #SignGarryMonk trending on Twitter, there is only one obvious choice.
