Sky Sports News pundit Jeff Stelling has gone on an epic rant demanding that Dave Jones either resign as head coach of Hartlepool United or be sacked, with the footage being captured by The Odds Bible.
Hartlepool have been on a disastrous run of form recently and have been nine games without a win. This has seen them drop down the table in a big fashion, with them currently being 23rd in Sky Bet League Two with just two games to go. There is still a chance of survival as they are just two points behind Newport County, but things are looking bleak for them.
Their latest result which saw them lose 2-0 to Barnet saw Mr Stelling, the host of Sky Sports News’ Soccer Saturday programme and one of the most notable Hartlepool fans in the media, go on an epic rant where he tore into Hartlepool manager Jones. He went on to say that Jones should resign and if he wouldn’t, that the board should sack him.

He said: “I’m wearing my Hartlepool United tie today, we’ve lost at home, we’re in the relegation places,”
“This is not personal Dave. But Dave Jones, for God’s sake, for the good of the club, walk now, go now.”
“You’ve got 13 points from 51, this is not your level of football.”
“Pam Duxbury, the chairman Gary Coxall, if he won’t walk, sack him.”
“If it means me retiring and resigning as president I’ll do so happily. Do it now, do it today.”
Following this rant, Mr Stelling has resigned as the president of Hartlepool.
