On Saturday afternoon there were three teams being watched, Leeds United, Fulham, and Sheffield Wednesday. Three sides all battling for the fifth and sixth position as the season is coming to a swift end, to ensure they have a playoff chance of being promoted to the Premier League. Wins for Fulham and Sheffield Wednesday propelled and secured them into those final playoff places. Sheffield Wednesday now finds themselves in fourth, and Fulham has taken the sixth spot. Leeds United find themselves in seventh, three points off Fulham.
Meanwhile, at the bottom of the table, a vital win for Nottingham Forest against Reading means that they are getting closer to securing Championship football next season. Unfortunately, Wigan Athletic and Blackburn Rovers dropping points makes their fight for survival even more difficult with only two games to go in the Sky Bet Championship.
