On Saturday afternoon, it was confirmed that one of the oldest football clubs in London, Leyton Orient, were confirmed as relegated from the English Football League after an 112-year stay. The football family and Leyton Orient fans have taken to Twitter to react to the sad news.
A 3 – 0 defeat to Crewe Alexandra on Saturday afternoon, saw the likely news of Leyton Orient plummeting out of the English Football League a morbid and deeply saddening reality. In 2014, Leyton Orient saw themselves in the Sky Bet League One play-off final against Rotherham United, but have experienced an absolute free fall under the stewardship of their deeply unpopular and simply destructive owner, Francesco Becchetti.
Leyton Orient fans, as well as fellow football fans part of the footballing family, have taken to Twitter to react to the sad news of their 112-year stay in the English Football League coming to an end.
A big congratulations to the FA and EFL. You let a man who shouldn't be in charge of a pair of scissors run the club into the ground. #lofc https://t.co/cxJFq54ZSD

this is entirely the fault of the owner. A stable club destroyed in just a few years & still no FA/EFL action on ownership reform.

What has happen to Leyton Orient represents a scandalous failure by football's authorities to do their duty. #lofc

Very sad day for #lofc. Relegated from Football League for first time and worse could follow with winding up order hanging over club
