Fulham fans move swiftly to snap up Wednesday tickets

Fulham fans have moved quickly to secure their places for their potentially crucial Sky Bet Championship match against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough next month.

The Whites have announced that over 1,500 tickets for the match were snapped up by fans within six hours of the tickets going on sale while the remainder of the allocation is also expected to be swiftly sold in the coming days.

Fulham’s good form in the past few weeks has seen Slavisa Jokanovic’s side move into the top six despite previously looking like outsiders for a Play Off place. The Whites have won four of their last five league matches and the club now find themselves in sixth place courtesy of a better goal difference than promotion rivals Leeds United.

The West Londoners travel to Hillsborough on the final day of the Sky Bet Championship season to face a Sheffield Wednesday side who are currently just one place and two points above them in the table. With the race for the final two Play Off places set to be contested between those two sides and Leeds United, the match in South Yorkshire could yet prove to be a ‘winner takes all’ encounter.

Fulham have spent the past three seasons in the Sky Bet Championship following their relegation from the top flight in 2014.
