Former Rangers boss in line for the Norwich City job

Former Rangers head coach Mark Warburton is looking to try and get the vacant Norwich City manager’s job according to a report from The Sun.

The Canaries have massively disappointed this year as instead of challenging for an automatic promotion spot so they could make a quick return to the Premier League, but are instead just outside the play-offs and with Neil facing plenty of fan anger for this, they decided to sack him on Friday night and are now looking for a new manager.

There has already been a few reports on who might be taking the role with Gary Rowett and Alan Pardew already being linked, but now Warburton is in frame for the role, just two years after he was turned down for the role. He had been interviewed after the sacking of Neil Adams in January but they elected to choose Neil instead.

Since then, Warburton had a spell with Rangers and was the man who finally returned them to the Scottish Premier League after their four-year exile away from the top flight. However with the club looking like they would not get close to Celtic in the race, Warburton left the club though it is currently unsure how. The club themselves insist Warburton resigned, while the man himself says that did not happen.

But while that gets clarified, Warburton is looking for a new job and could be set to join up with Norwich and try to resurrect their attempt to get promoted from the Sky Bet Championship.
