“A Shining Example to the Younger Players”: Stuart Sinclair Signs New Contract at Bristol Rovers

Bristol Rovers have made their third extended deal this week, giving it to midfielder, Stuart Sinclair who has signed a new contract with the club for an undisclosed period.

Sinclair joined the Pirates back in 2014. He was their fifth signing of the summer where they were challenged to make it back into the football league. However, he had helped alongside the team to reach the play-off finals where a successful win pushed them into League Two the following season.

The 29-year-old has made a total of 89 league appearances at Bristol Rovers and has scored just five goals, including a goal against Oxford United. His strong enthusiasm and fast-paced performances has made him a favourite with the supporters.

Manager Darrell Clarke is delighted that Sinclair has decided to take this extension to his contract: “It’s very pleasing to know that Stuart has decided to extend his stay with us. A shining example to the younger players at the club.”

Sinclair was glad that the offer had come up for the midfielder, “I just wanted to get everything sorted and not have to worry about it. It’s fantastic news.”

Personal Response:
I’m glad for Sinclair now he has been given the extension to his contract at Bristol Rovers. This part of the season has become crucial as we’re aiming to reach the top 6, whereas, at the beginning of the season, we just wanted to avoid relegation.

All three players who have received a new deal at the club have been midfielders. It just shows that Darrell Clarke really has looked up at the progress of the squad and has clearly recognised that those three have shown why they should play for the club. Personally, our midfield has been the best in performance this season. They’ve become the goal scorers these past months and it’s great to see that they have received recognition for that.
