Swindon Town in move to sign Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder

Swindon Town are looking to sign Brighton and Hove Albion’s Rohan Ince on loan according to a report from the Swindon Advertiser.

The 24-year-old midfielder, who can also play in defence, signed for the Seagulls in 2013 and has made 72 appearances, though he has found himself out in the cold over the last few months. He has only made four appearances for the Brighton first team this season, though he has also seen competitive action for the U23s when they competed in the Checkatrade Trophy.

But with Brighton no longer being in the Checkatrade Trophy, Ince doesn’t look like he will be getting much more competitive football at the AMEX Stadium meaning that he will have to look elsewhere if he wants to get more time on the pitch. And now it appears that Ince may have a new home as Swindon are set to make an approach to sign him on a loan deal.

Swindon head coach Luke Williams may already have five loanees in the squad, the maximum you can put in a matchday squad, but he is always looking to improve the squad as the Robins try to battle against relegation. And with Ince being a solid player when he has played for Brighton, he could help solidify the team in their fight to keep their place in Sky Bet League One.

However Ince does have some legal issues he will have to face in a couple of weeks. He is due in Reading Crown Court on February 13th after pleading not guilty to assaulting a bouncer with a bottle of Jack Daniels.
