Transfer News: Ming’s on the move?

Agent Dave has exclusively revealed on Twitter that Derby are in talks with Bournemouth about the possibility of taking Tyrone Mings on loan for the rest of the season.

The former Ipswich man, who joined The Cherries for around 8 million in 2015 has only recently returned from injury. His appearance against Millwall in the third round of the FA cup last Saturday (7th) was only his second since suffering a knee injury shortly after joining the club.

Obviously now short on fitness, a loan move may be lined up in order for him to get some valuable match action.

The tweet, itself, is shown below.

He would become active Steve McClaren’s second signing so far this window. The former England manager, who is currently experiencing his second spell at Pride Park, has already completed the signing of David Nugent from Middlesbrough this week.

Mings, who joined Ipswich for just £10,000 originally, looks set to be his latest pursuit.

Mings, himself, cost Bournemouth a record fee when he first walked through the door at Dean Court. The club, clearly wanting him to progress to the next level look to be giving him the best opportunity to do just that.

This will be a plus point for The Rams, who look second best in the race to sign wantaway Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury. Despite no deal being formally agreed, it looks like Lansbury will be joining the Birmingham-based club.

This may potentially leave McClaren searching for another midfielder before the window is out. All will come clear before the deadline.
