Leeds United target winger with £3m price tag

Norwich City have placed a £3 million price tag on winger Sergi Canos, according to West London Sport.

Championship rivals Leeds United and Brentford have been linked with a move for the 19-year-old, who made the switch to the Canaries in the summer for a fee of £2.5 million.

Despite his recent move, Canos has managed just eight senior appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and assisting a further two.

Leeds United have already made one signing this window, securing the services of popular attacking midfielder Pablo Hernandez on a permanent deal.

The 31-year-old has spent the first half of the season on-loan from Qatari outfit Al-Arabi, but has returned to his parent club following last week’s 3-0 win over Rotherham United. Now, it is expected that Leeds will announce the Hernandez deal early this week.

Hernandez made 15 appearances in the Championship for the Whites, scoring three goals and assisting a further three.

In addition to Hernandez, The Whites have also been linked with a move for Stuttgart’s Alexandru Maxim.

The 26-year-old has featured in 16 2. Bundesliga games for Stuttgart this season, contributing with two goals and five assists. The player also has a wealth of experience in Germany’s top flight, making 91 Bundesliga appearances, scoring 11 goals and assisting a further 25.

Primarily operating as an attacking midfielder, Maxim can also play on the left or right wings. In addition to his club career, the midfielder is a Romanian international, making 27 appearances for his country.

Garry Monk’s side currently sit in 5th place in the Sky Bet Championship table following their 3-0 win over Rotherham United.
