QPR midfielder finally set to leave club

QPR’s Sandro is finally set to leave the club after agreeing a deal with Turkish club Antalyaspor according to a report from West London Sport.

Ever since the R’s were relegated from the Premier League, they have been trying to sell the 27-year-old midfielder due to his high wages. However not many teams have been willing to sign him on a permanent move, with Sandro only leaving Loftus Road for a short while when he moved on loan to West Bromwich Albion.

But finally after months of rumours and anticipation, Sandro is set to depart West London for pastures new and QPR are set to get a lot more room in their wage budget. He is currently finalising terms with Antalyaspor and will soon sign a three-and-a-half year deal with the club which would see him move all the way to Turkey. Osmanlispor had also tried to sign the Brazilian after making the initial approach for him, but they have missed out on him.

QPR signed Sandro with big hopes after he completed a £6m move to the club. However while he did perform well when he got onto the pitch, his injury problems restricted the amount of times he could play. Since signing two-and-a-half years ago in 2014, Sandro has only been able to start 29 league matches. But now this ill fated spell in West London is set to come to an end and he will hope to kick start his career when he moves to Turkey to play for Antalyaspor.
