Sky Bet League Two promotion hopefuls Plymouth Argyle have completed the signing of Torquay United striker Nathan Blissett according to the Plymouth Herald.
The giant 26-year-old West Bromwich born hotshot has joined The Pilgrims for an initial transfer fee of £15,000 although that figure could double should the player go on to be a success at Home Park. The transfer fee is the first fee paid by Plymouth Argyle in almost five years.
Blissett has built a reputation as a real tough opponent. The player’s huge frame has caused many problems for several sides in The National League this season while the striker boasts a significant aerial threat.
The player started his career in non league with Romulus before joining Kidderminster Harriers in 2012. Blissett netted 12 goals in 59 matches during his time at Aggborough while he was also loaned out to Cambridge United, Hednesford Town and Bristol Rovers. The striker joined Bristol Rovers on a permanent deal in 2014 and helped the club secure a swift return to the English Football League.
Blissett spent time on loan at Tranmere Rovers and Lincoln City in 2015/2016 before joining Torquay United last January. The striker has bagged 12 goals in 41 appearances for The Gulls and new employers Plymouth Argyle clearly believe that Blissett’s individual talent can be a huge benefit to them.
