Disgruntled fan advertises Championship strugglers as for sale on Ebay

An unhappy Rotherham United supporter has placed the entire squad up for sale on Ebay following their 3-0 defeat at Leeds United on Monday afternoon. The Millers are rooted to the bottom of the Championship table after 25 matches.

At the time of writing, bids for the team reached up to £7,800, although it is most likely to be removed by the website in the coming hours. Rotherham, managed by interim boss and fitness coach Paul Warne, have collected just one point out of a possible 39 away from home this season so far.

The supporter, who also has 100% feedback on the popular buying and selling website, provided a very lengthy description of the ‘product. They were described as ‘no hopers’ that has ‘no commitment, no quality, no direction, no desire to win’. It is just three victories for the club this season and all three have come under different managers; most recently Warne and firstly Alan Stubbs and then Kenny Jackett.

Those who wish to buy this must be warned as the seller insists that there are no refunds available. Although bids have also reached in the region of £70k, the seller also stated ‘I’m willing to swap for a broker lawnmower a bag of pork scratchings or a 70s etch-a-sketch’.

Speaking after the defeat at Elland Road, Warne stated he was pleased with their first half showing and that the first goal ‘changed the game’.
