Sky Bet Championship side Leeds United were denied three points at Aston Villa as Jonathan Kodjia’s late penalty stole a point for the Villains.
The visitors led from the 53rd minute when Pontus Jansson directed a powerful header, albeit with a deflection, over the line.
But Kodjia rescued a point for Steve Bruce’s side as they kept their unbeaten home run intact by sending Robert Green the wrong way from the penalty spot.
The draw at Villa Park signalled a sixth game unbeaten in seven games, with the Whites’ last defeat coming in early December as current League leaders defeated Garry Monk’s side 2-0 in Sussex.
Many fans took encouragement from the fact that they now sit in fourth place in the League, but were disappointed at the way that they dropped two points.
One mistake cost #lufc the game but still a good point and very unlucky against #Avfc

Who'd have imagined in August we'd be disappointed by only getting 4 points against Villa? Not me. #lufc #MOT

Other fans are beginning to see the true potential in their team as well as recognising the ability that some of the players have.
This team is going places. When they turn up the tempo they are fantastic. Hernandez is a baller #lufc

During the week Villa Chairman Dr Tony Xia tweeted that the Villains had rejected a bid worth £25m for Jordan Amavi, however following this evening’s performance many Whites fans began mocking the left-back.
Can't get my head around how Amavi is worth £25M?! Average championship fullback #LUFC #AVFC https://t.co/RYPpRhFyFm

Next up for Garry Monk’s side is a home game against the League’s basement side, Rotherham United on Monday afternoon.
