Premier League changes await Magpies

Fans of Premier League hopefuls Newcastle United will find themselves right at the heart of the action at away matches should The Magpies gain promotion back to the top flight at the first attempt according to the Chronicle Live.

New rules in the Premier League will see all clubs agree to move at least one block of away supporters pitch-side  meaning that Newcastle United’s ever vocal travelling army may be backing their side from within metres of the action at all away grounds if The Magpies gain that all important Premier League return.

The change would cause one headache to Newcastle United with away fans currently located in the top tier at St James’ Park, a long way from the pitch. A return to the top flight would mean that the Tynesiders would need to move the away fans to pitch level and potentially relocate some of their season ticket holders which may result in some discontent.

The move by the Premier League is aimed at improving the atmosphere created in the division’s 20 grounds. By moving away fans closer to the action, it is thought that the noise levels at matches will increase.

Newcastle United fans are backing their side in the SkyBet Championship in huge numbers with both home and away matches regularly selling out.
