Brighton to battle with West Ham to sign Swedish starlet

Brighton and Hove Albion will battle it out with West Ham United to sign Hammarby’s Bilal Mohammed according to a report from HITC Sport.

The 15-year-old attacking midfielder currently played in the youth leagues of Sweden and has already captured the interest of plenty of sides due to the high level of his performances which mark him out as something special. Some have even said that he is set to be one of the best players to come out of Scandinavia in recent years.

So it is no surprise that Brighton are interested in the player and are hopeful that they can sign him up to go through their youth system. While the Brighton academy isn’t particularly well noted for producing great players, the side has become well known in recent years for playing attractive football and that may tempt Mohammed to move to the Sky Bet Championship side. They are currently in discussions with Hammarby over letting him train with the rest of the squad on the south coast

However he could well be tempted more by West Ham. He has already spent a trial period at the club last month and reports from the club is that he impressed enough for the Hammers to move forward and try to sign him on a permanent deal.

However both clubs are going to find it tricky to sign this hot prospect. Clubs all across Europe have been watching the player with interest and could make their move in the January transfer window to start what will be an intense bidding war.
