Wolves fans want Sam Allardyce as their next head coach according to a poll done by The72.
Earlier this week, we asked you who you think should be the next Wolves following the sacking of Walter Zenga, with the Italian being released due to a mixture of poor results and a rift between members of the backroom staff. And after having two days to vote, the fans have decided that they want former England boss Sam Allardyce as their next boss.
Despite the fact Allardyce was sacked by England due to allegations made against his character by the Daily telegraph, he got 84.55%, beating his nearest rival by over 75 points. The person who came in second in the vote was Vitor Periera who only got 8.18% of the vote, despite the fact he has managed some of the biggest clubs in Europe such as Porto, Olympiakos and Fenerbahce.
3rd place in the vote was Periera’s Portuguese compatriot Marco Silva after he got 3.64% of the vote. He has also managed big clubs such as Sporting Lisbon and Olympiakos but if Wolves wish to hire him they may face competition after a recent report suggested that Inter Milan may approach him should they sack under pressure manager Frank de Boer in the coming weeks.
Finally, 4th place in the vote was Dougie Freedman who got 2.73% with his record at Bolton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest not impressing fans and last place was Steve Cotterill who only managed to get 0.91% of the vote after being sacked by Bristol City last season.
