Queens Park Rangers

PREVIEW: QPR v Brentford

West London rivals Queens Park Rangers and Brentford go into battle at Loftus Road this evening with both clubs aiming to record a victory which will push them towards the SkyBet Championship Play Off places.

Both sides have accrued 19 points from their opening 14 league matches while both clubs go into the fixture having lost of their last league outings.

The home side go into the match with a number of injury problems to contend with. Defensive duo Jake Bidwell and Grant Hall are ruled out of the clash with shoulder and thigh injuries while striker Jamie Mackie remains sidelined with an ankle injury.

The Hoops manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will hand late fitness tests to both Joel Lynch and Jordan Cousins with both players struggling for fitness.

Opponents Brentford make the short trip to Loftus Road without midfielder Alan McCormack who continues to serve a suspension while full backs Callum Elder and Rico Henry remain sidelined by their respective injuries. Danish striker Lasse Vibe could be fit enough to be named amongst the substitutes.

Brentford have a poor recent record at Loftus Road with The Bees having not won at the venue in 52 years but there is little to separate the two sides going into the latest derby meeting.
