Aston Villa’s chairman, Dr Tony Xia, has taken to Twitter to confirm the club’s signing of Albert Adomah.
The winger/attacking midfielder has been linked with a move to Villa over the last few weeks and it appears that a deal has finally been done on deadline day to take the 28-year old to Villa Park.

Adomah has been a key player for Boro over the last few seasons, having featured heavily for the club in the Championship in their bids to get promotion back to the Premier League. He featured 47 times for the club last season, scoring eight goals along the way, as Middlesbrough finally managed to get back into the top tier.
Now, Villa will be hoping he can help them achieve the same feat, as they look to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Adomah is a big statement of intent from Aston Villa’s new chairman, as he has been a proven player at this level for the past few years and his signing will be a boost to the club in their bid for promotion.
Although not believed to actually be part of this deal, with Adomah making his way to Villa Park, Adama Traore is set to move the other way and seal a move to Boro.
