Brentford are close to completing deals for two new signings manager Dean Smith has told Get West London.
The Bees have missed out on a number of transfer targets over the summer however it has now been reported that the West London club are expecting to add new faces before the closure of the transfer window.
The identities of the potential new signings are unknown although The72 recently reported that Brentford were interested in loaning Crystal Palace youngster Sullay Kaikai. The 21 year old Southwark born wide man is believed to be available for loan again this season after spending time in SkyBet League One last season with Shrewsbury Town.
The Bees have had a quiet summer on the transfer front but recent results suggest that further depth in the squad is required at Griffin Park if the West London club are to push towards the Play Off positions this season. The club face a continuous battle to compete against some of the financial heavyweights in the SkyBet Championship and Brentford boss Smith has admitted that some proposed moves have been ended by the financial demands made by players’ agents.
Brentford have plans to move to a new 20,000 capacity stadium in Kew Bridge and it is vital that The Bees remain competitive in the SkyBet Championship ahead of the move which will see the club progress to a more level financial footing with their league rivals.
