Derby: Rams snap up Manchester United striker Wilson

Young Manchester United striker James Wilson will join up with the Rams later this week, according to reports in the Derby Telegraph.

However, Derby fans may have to wait until after the international break to see their new man in action as Pearson stated after Saturday evenings stalemate with Aston Villa: “James was at Brighton last year and did pretty well and so what is important is we integrate him fully into our club and make him feel very, very welcome and a part of what we are trying to do.”

However, with Derby only managing two goals so far this term, both of which have come from defenders, Pearson may be tempted to throw Wilson into the mix as they search for goals to back up their steady defence, as the Rams have kept 4 out of 5 clean sheets so far this season.

Wilson has scored four goals in 20 appearances for United and spent much of 2015-16 on loan with Brighton, where he hit the net five times in 28 games.
