Manchester City mulling move for Fulham defender

Manchester City could be about to make a bid for Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon according to a report from the Daily Mail.

Sessegnon made his professional debut aged just 16 on Tuesday night in the 1-1 draw against Leeds United. While it was Chris Wood’s overhead kick that stole the headlines, many noted how impressive the left back’s performance considering he’s at the age where most are thinking about their GCSE results.

And while this is another example of the Fulham academy producing another player with a great amount of potential, it has led to many teams being interested in signing him. In the summer there were reports that many top clubs in England such as Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester United were interested, with Arsenal being rumoured to have had a bid rejected.

And now one of the other teams considered one of the best in the country have joined the race with Manchester City considering making a bid for Sessegnon. They are constantly looking to improve the quality of their youngsters, especially after the recent success of Kelechi Iheanacho breaking into the first team, and Sessegnon is seen as a player who can develop in their academy and become a first teamer in the future.
