Wolves making move for another Portuguese player

Wolves are looking to make a move for another Portuguese player after they were linked with Benfica’s Ola John according to a report from HITC Sport.

Since their takeover from Fosun International, Wolves have been looking for big name signings and Portugal has been very favourable with them. Silvio, Helder Costa and Joao Teixeira all hail from the recently crowned European champions and now another player from that country may be about to join them at Molineux.

The club have been linked with a move for John, who will already be familiar to the Sky Bet Championship. He had a season long loan spell with Reading last year, making 33 appearances for the club. However most of them came as a substitute so he wasn’t given a chance to return to the Madejski Stadium.

But while he was in talks over a switch to France to join Ligue 1 club Toulouse, Wolves have now hijacked those talks and hope to make John the latest player to join their Portuguese contingent. If all goes well and he quickly agrees personal terms, it’s likely that the deal could be completed by the weekend. They may be signing another big name player as Benfica icon Luisao is set to complete a three-year deal with the club.
