Crystal Palace line up Nottingham Forest winger to replace Bolasie

Crystal Palace are interested in signing Nottingham Forest winger Oliver Burke before the end of the transfer window, according to today’s print edition of The Sun.

Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie reportedly traveled to Merseyside today to complete a medical with Everton ahead of a £30 million move to the club.  If the deal goes through, Palace will need to move fast in order to replace Bolasie for the rest of the season.

It is understood that Palace have lined up Nottingham Forest winger Oliver Burke to replace Bolasie, with a fee of around £8 million being mentioned for the 19-year-old.

Burke made 18 appearances for Forest in the Championship last season, scoring two goals and catching the eye of many potential suitors.  Burke has a lot of pace and is tipped to have a big future in the game.

The winger was also called up to his national side, Scotland, for the first time last season.  Burke has two Scotland caps, making his debut against Denmark in March.

Burke has started all of Nottingham Forest’s games so far this season. scoring in a 4-3 win over Burton Albion in Forest’s first game of the Championship season.

There has been a lot of talk this summer about the future of Forest striker Britt Assombalonga, with reports linking the player with a move elsewhere.  However Burke is another player that Forest will want to hold onto.
