Congo international close to Wolves move

Wolves are closing in on a £1.9m move for Reims’ Prince Oniangue according to a report from the Express & Star.

Since the takeover from Fosun International, Wolves have been looking to splash the cash in order to strengthen their squad. The new owners have made it no surprise that they want to go for promotion this season and bringing in as many top quality players as possible will help them in that.

And the latest man who looks like they will be moving to Molineux very soon is Oniangue. Reports have suggested that he has been given a tour of the club’s training ground Compton Park today and will soon complete a £1.9m move to the Black County club in the coming days.

The 27-year-old has certainly been around France as he’s played for the likes of Caen, Rennes and Tours but right now he is contracted to Reims after moving there in 2013. Since then he has made 95 appearances and has scored 17 goals, And it isn’t just his consistency for Reims that is why Wolves are looking to complete a deal for him, he is also versatile as he can play in central defence. In a season where emergency loans will not be allowed, that could be key.
