Ben Osborn has signed a new four year contract with Nottingham Forest as confirmed by the club website.
The 22-year-old midfielder came through the Forest academy and made his debut back in 2014. Since then he has become a regular for the club and sealed his place his place in the club’s folklore when he scored a last-minute winner against their fierce rivals Derby County.
And with there being some speculation that some teams may make a bid to try and sign Osborn, Forest were keen to make sure he signed a new deal to put off any interested parties. And they certainly did that as he has now signed a new four-year deal which will keep him at the City Ground until 2020.
Despite Osborn putting in a number of impressive performances last season, Forest suffered another mediocre season. Despite one point of the season when they went on an unbeaten run, Dougie Freedman couldn’t get the side anywhere close to a play off spot and would eventually be sacked. After Paul Williams guided the club until the end of the season incident free, Frenchman Philippe Montanier took over and will hope to get Forest challenging at the right end of the Sky Bet Championship table.
