Nottingham Forest complete signing of former Arsenal defender

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Armand Traore as confirmed by the club website.

The 26-year-old defender had been released by QPR this summer and a four-year spell with the club but despite having several injury problems, he has now completed a move to Forest after signing a three-year contract with the club.

Many years ago, Traore was seen as a hot prospect for Arsenal and went out on loan to clubs such as Portsmouth and Juventus to help seal his reputation as a rising star in the game. However he didn’t develop as Arsenal wanted and was eventually sold to QPR where he hoped to get more first team football. However his four year spell in West London was plagued with injuries and he could never get a regular spot in their first team.

And last season was the lowest point for Traore’s career at QPR as he was transfer listed last summer by the then head coach Chris Ramsey and never made an appearance last season as the R’s finished in mid table. He was then released at the end of the season. Now Traore will hope to get back on the pitch now that he has signed for Forest.
